At first I got the wrong kind, I just got regular matrix, the pieces were too small and kept falling through the grid. I had to get the pond kind, this way the pieces were large enough to sit on the grid. I layered the on the bottom with some pieces of dry rock. Then put the bio balls on top of that. From what I’ve read the bio balls are not suppose to be submerged under water.Did you just sprinkle the matrix in with the bio balls? Like right on top of them? Wondering if I should do the same with mine lol
Great, thanks! Some of my bioballs are submerged....o_o I should probably fix thatAt first I got the wrong kind, I just got regular matrix, the pieces were too small and kept falling through the grid. That’s just what someone had mentioned, some of mine are still under the water line, only because every time I put more water in the tank more water goes into the sump. I think I need to adjust the thing on the overflow box and try and move it up higher but of course the stupid thing fell off last night when I was messing with it..... so now I have to try and get it out of there.Great, thanks!
