Hello, my name is Chase. I live just outside of Dallas, TX and am 19 years old. My parents originally had one of those 45g hex tanks that they bought at petco around 12 years ago, then upgraded to an 80g within a year. We've had this tank running for 10 years until April when a local shop went out of business and was having a firesale. We went for the ridiculous zoas but ended up getting a 120g rr with canopy for a very good. Within a day, I had the plumbing the way we wanted it to be and we've become even more serious about the hobby by adding an apex, upgrading to 2 250w halides and 450nm leds from t5, two ato pumps (one is a failsafe turned upside down in the skimmer chamber of the sump). our sump is a 60g, 30 for fuge, 20 for the skimmer, return pump, reactor and chiller pump, and the remaining 10 for the drain pipes with liverock and the filter sock option. Reason I joined was to reply and ask about an upcoming event, but I'll likely stick around for quite some time. If you're interested in seeing the way we plumbed this tank, let me know, I'll be able to post a picture of it later today. Will try to find a few pics of some livestock as well and upload whenever I figure out how to.

Feel free to ask any other questions! I may be young but I'm not attached to my cellphone every minute of every day so it may be until tonight to have a response.

Thanks for reading, take care, Chase

Welcome to R2R Chase, thanks for joining. Sounds like you have a pretty good handle on the hobby already. Please do share some pictures of your system when you get the chance.

Here's the few pictures. I'm not a photographer and do the best I can.

Mini zoa garden (my favorite is probably the purple hornet colony)

Nothing "really" special but it all looks nice! Two clown pairs. One orange, one black. The large orange one we've had for near 8 years and is the healthiest clown I've ever seen. There's a six line wrasse I threw in to eliminate a carnivourus amphipod outbreak (worked perfectly). A few other small ones. The usual cleaner shrimp, peppermint. All that. The slight algae issue that shows on the frag rack picture is taken care of, that was from my family overfeeding my diy cubes as if they were normal ones. ;) hope you enjoy these and get an idea of what I've got now.

Thanks, Chase
