Hello! New to R&R, but in the saltwater hobby for several years. Just now restocking my 100 gallon and 35 gallon DT slowly, and already have my HT occupied with ich victims, LOL. So far so good, the clown is recovering nicely but the powder blue tang just came down with it and finished a freshwater dip and seems somewhat better already. Looking forward to following the tips and advice on here!

If you're open to having a neon blue goby in your DT, then I would get one for your tang n ich. I consider neon blue gobies essential "nurses" for my tangs. They will catch marine ich from your other fish, but if you are daily siphon cleaning bottom this will help break marine ich lifecycle. Currently I have two 'nurses' as I needed another one in QT and they are too small and fast to both catching in my DT to move. Unfortunately these 'nurse' fish only have a short 2 year life expectancy. Also, annoyingly if they have ich they will not clean it off each other but they will attempt to clean every other fish in your tank.

Tonight I repeatedly watched a neon try to clean a clownfish, but the clownfish didn't want cleaned - super cute interaction. I thought my very first neon blue would get lost in my 180g, but they are mostly down front and even like hanging out on the tangs' food clip or glass cleaner magnet, when not in 'cleaner area' where fish know they hang out on rock. While these are popular nano tank fish, IMO they are essential for tangs in any size tank.
