Thanks for all the welcomes! I have one question for now do you top off with saltwater or freshwater?

Welcome!!! You would top off with fresh RODI water. There are other chemicals (Kalkwasser) that can be mixed with your top off water to help maintain calcium in a reef tank but fresh water is what most use. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you can. Better to learn from all of our mistakes, rather than make them yourself : ).
