Hello, I recently just got into reefing and have started my first tank build. I decided to go with the Red Sea Max Nano XXL. Mostly because I wanted something a little bigger than 20 gallons but still in the beginner level. On top of what comes with the tank and cabinet I have already purchased the Nano Mat, Red Sea ATO, and reef wave 25. I’ve spent the last couple of days putting everything together and within the next week or so I should be starting the cycle. I’m going to attach some photos of what I have going so far and will try to update along the way. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I look forward to starting this experience.

Welcome to the hobby!

My number recommendation is be sure to have a reliable way to measure salinity. Stay away from the cheapo refractometers. You can make your own calibration solution with table salt:

You should also look into getting some combination or ocean live rock/sand/rubble. The live rock is nicest but live sand is more economical.

Welcome to R2R! I'll be following along. I also agree some or all ocean live rock is a must for all saltwater tanks.

Yea, stilll trying to figure out the app. How would I go about making the build thread
