Hi! As this is my first post here I’m super excited!!!
This summer, I’m planning on getting a small sw reef going. (I’m thinking ten gallons) Indo have experience with maintaining stable perameters in that size of a tank. In terms of stocking, the only “must haves” are 2 false percula clownfish. Other than that maybe a clean up crew. Aside from the clownfish, I was wondering what clean up (so to speak) fish are good for a ten gallon. Does anybody else have any suggestions for fish I can put in the tank?
Coralwise, I’m thinking of a mostly softie tank. Possibly some
1. Leathers
2. Mushrooms
3. Zoas
4. Mushrooms
5. Candy Canes
6. Montes (later in life LOL)
7. And possible a BTA
Disclaimer: Not all of these corals will end up in the tank, but they are the easy options I’ve found.
I have a PAR 38, 34 what adjustable LED for the lighting.
Any additions for good corals to add to my easy beginner list? (Other than GSP/Xenia) Anyhting abnormal about any of these corals I should know about? Thanks for the help in advance.

Welcome to reef2reef !!
Your maxed out on 2 fish but IMO a ten gallon is too small for clowns, Gobies do really good in that size of s tank. The BTA will get too big for the 10 gallon and you will run into problems with other coral in the tank with it.
I would also invest in a ATO as they benefit nanos a lot

Thanks for the advice. I’ll probably end up scratching the BTA. Also, I have a top off system currently. I should also add that the ten is temporary for the clowns. I want to try my clown/reef hand before upgrading to a 29g as planned.

Thanks for the article! Nothing is wrong with green star polyps-which is why they’re wrong! I don’t want them taking over the reef completely! Also, I didn’t want to add an island so it could take that over...
