New to site

Hi all!

I am new to the site and just wanted to introduce myself. The tank I run is a 10 gal with AI lighting (awesome btw), bare bottom with about 10lbs rock. The tank is a fluval so it has the 3 compartments in the back. I have about 1/3 of my live rock in the middle back chamber. Filter floss and another form of "foam" media in the 1st chamber. I run carbon in the third chamber with the heater and the return. My tank finished cycling about 2 months ago and I have stocked it with the following:
1 clown fish
1 zoa (about 20 heads)
1 Monte
1 hammered coral
1 raptor eye
4 hermits

Waiting to get a few ceriths and astereas snails. The only other real livestock that I want to add is a lynkia starfish.

This is not my first nano-reef, and I decided to go bare bottom because a lot of the problems I had in my last nano were caused by something in the substrate and, I just don't find it aesthetically pleasing. I had my last nano for about 3 years before I had to move to Europe and was unable to transpot it. With that said, I love this hobby and love learning about new methods.

I'm a zoa guy myself. Have quite a few, my favorites I have right now are utter chaos and yodas. What kind is the ones in the photo?

You know, that's a great question. I'm not sure. I can ask my lfs tomorrow when I see them. I have 3 boys and superheroes are all the rage with them so we call them "iron man zoas". The colors are amazing and I got the frag for a pretty darn good price.

They kinda look like twizzlers, but I'm sure I'm wrong on that guess haha. What's is yalls lfs?

I go to reef licious in Albuquerque. It's a great place with awesome quality and the guys that work there know exactly what they are doing

Ha ! That's a picture of my corals when they were the only thing in the tank. Yes they have purplelish rings around the center.

Well......then I was wrong haha. This is going to bother me lol. By the way, I just noticed your in the wrong forum for introducing yourself. I was wondering why nobody else has said anything. Go under reef aquarium discussion, then click on meet and greet forum:)
