New to SPS

I have been in reefing for over 20 years. I have a 310 gallon tank with softies and one huge plating Montipora. I recently decided that I wanted to move in the direction of an SPS tank I cleared out about 25% of my tank removing over 100 heads of Hammer to do so. I have ordered a few frags from WWC to get started. I have been dosing by hand weekly but just bought a Kamora doser to bring more stability to my tank.

Welcome!! Key to sps is test test test! and when you think your alk/ca is stable test. Test! Because you just think it is. Before you go on vacation make sure you’re testing daily weeks out, because if your paras change it will be at the worst possible time.

I was getting bored with softies . I did this quickly and gave them to my LFS
I am going to MACNA with him

I test my water weekly. I do a 40 gallon water change weekly as well

Awesome. Well hopefully you'll make a good amount of money for it and your sps journey will start out as a free gift from your hard work you already put into the tank.
