nice have fun down there. im like an hour north in fort lauderdale.. i dont really like miami. to much congestion for my liking. traffic is horrible

Hey guys and gals my name is kevin. 29 years old from south FL. I have been a saltwater tank owner for the past ten year off and on. I have a 55gal tank that has had many ups and downs, mostly down due to lack of attention. That tank is at my parents house, i moved out from there a long time ago and simply dont have to time to properly care for it. i have been resetting the tank up to be a fish only tank and i have been teaching my dad what and how to do to care for it. simple older filteration setup with bioballs floss chemipure elite and purigen. its been doing well since i restarted it 3 months ago. simple standard 2 channel blue and white light setup nothing special. I also set up a 14 gal oceanic biocube as a mini reef tank at my apartment. set up in February i have recently started stocking the tank with few fish and corals. I have a regular clown fish and then a purple and yellow skinny long fish with a black dot on the dorsal. the name has slipped my mind. corals: super sayain zaos, mushroom( not sure what kind) GSP, kenya tree and some acans. intank media rack with floss, purigen, and chemipure elite. i have an AI prime 16 hd on this one. i have issues with algae with both but the tanks are both cycling and this time im not giving up on neither.
for both i want to get a protein skimmers. 55gal i can basically get any skimmer being that the sump is bigger but my 14 gal the sump section is tiny and i am having issue sourcing one that will fit or even a hang over type that does scar the eyes and ears. i am also mixing my own salt water and purifying my own rodi water. ro buddie 4 stage with smart buddy and using instant ocean reef crystals. i have some pics of my babies enjoy and advise is you wish
