I set up my first fowler tank. I have cycled it, tested it and it is is ready for my first clown fish.

Do I quarantine the fish when I bring it home from the store?

There isn't anything in my tank besides cycled rock and sand.

Yes. I’m fairly new too, but about a year ago I learned the hard way. I never quarantined my new fish and brought one in that had something that killed 8 fish in 8 days. I sought help for the few I had left and ended up buying a tank for their quarantine, as well as having to fallow (no fish at all in it) my display tank for 90 days. I’m a believer in the quarantine protocol now because I can’t afford not to.

Welcome aboard!
A lot depends on your ability/willingness to quarantine correctly or if it’s worth it to pay more for “pre quarantined” fish. There are a few online retailers that will do it for you. Obviously you pay a premium for that service. Not everyone has the room or time to do it correctly.
But the company line is… yes. Quarantine everything all the time.
