Nice setup.
Awful lot of water in that sump, what happens if the power fails and something blocks your check valve?

blocks it? The point of the check valve is to keep the water upstairs so that it doesn’t overflow in my sump. The check valve is on the return side not the drainage side by the way. So if the power shuts off then the tank water won’t flow back downstairs into the sump. Only problem with my design which is already scheduled to be fixed tomorrow is that the check valve should be downstairs in the garage so that it holds the majority of the water in the return line in the pipe. Currently it’s upstairs which basically allows everything below it flow into the sump. But hindsight is 20/20 so before Saturday that will be fixed . And there is enough space in the sump for the drainage water to flow down when the pump stops during a power outage so as to no overflow. and Even if it WOULD overflow, that’s the whole reason why I put it in the garage in the first place lolNice setup.

Thanks man. I’m not that internet savvy lol I barely know how to post on hereWelcome. Slick set up.
A lot of us like to do Giphs or little animated pics to welcome folks
Right! lolThe mention of Compton will have me thinking of NWA songs the rest of the night...
I see where you’re getting at. But how can a snail get through those return lines attached to the bulkheads? They’re like 1/8” thick lolI know what a check valve does. My question and the problem I see is, what happens when the check valve... doesn't.
They are super prone to failure, you will have stuff growing in your pipes, and you will end up with some kind of sponge or snail getting in there, and preventing that valve from closing.
But yeah, at least when it does overflow it's in the garage.
O see now I get why you said it lolWhat no gif. Your slipping
Sorry this was supposed to be @Crabs McJones
