My brand new torch coral which is still acclimating but he was staring to open up before. Today I fed my fish mysis and it seems like he caught some and now he’s secreting this white stringy mucus is this just a waste product?

The stringy stuff is a normal occurence. If you catch it at the right time you'll actually see it coming from the center or mouth of the coral.
