Hi! I am fairly new to reefing, but not new to owning fish. I adopted a 32 gal tank about a week ago. It has 4 different types of zoanthids, a fairly large fox coral (still in question about species, I asked the reef store and they said it was most likely a fox), one finger leather, stool leather, another unknown leather, 1 montie frag, and 2 more unknown frags. Also have a small crab, damsel, and clown fish. It was over grown with algae, and upon recent discovery has pests. I have managed to get a strong hold on the algae problem. Lowered the nitrates, did a good cleaning, reduced feeding (only slightly) and have a very good clean up crew in there! However with the pests... They seem to be more on the zoas than anything else. From the research I've done, majority of people say they are impossible to get rid of once in the tank. Should I just restart now while I still can? I mainly want LPS in the tank when I get a better understanding of the hobby, but I don't want to get rid of coral I don't have to. I also don't want to deck out the tank just for pests to one day destroy it. Any advice???
