TBH I would be surprised if it’s any different other than the fact that it’s not directly attached to the regulator. Not sure it’s the right move - I like the fact that it’s all a single unit.

how is it ? any reviews ? @Paston1
I like it personally. I installed the doser unit outside my tank next to my other electronics. Easy to tune and dial in. Hose management sucks because I run it 6 ft (buts my own issue not the company) in the sump. On a scale of easy, I set it up and have forgotten about it until checking reef2reef lol

What do you mean? The co2 bottle has a dual gauge still on it. Just the bubble counter isn’t attached
The carbon doser uses a single stage regulator. 2 gauges does not mean its a double stage regulator.
Here is my 2 stage.

What is the difference? May have a reason to spend some more lol. Haven’t had to put my hand in the tank for a week

I built the regulators for my High tech planted aquariums. Singles are great until you get to the very in of the bottles. There is a chance on cheap (and sometimes expensive) single stage regulators that you get an end of tank dump where all the pressure gets past the regulator and into where ever it is going. It has gassed (killed) fish in a ton of tanks. Maybe not so much of an issue in reef tanks because your efluent is whats affected so hopefully you are PH controlling the calcium reactor and the aquarium to be safe. I always use a high quality dual stage regulator for my planted tanks and have never had an issue. I buy regulators on Ebay and then purchase the parts necessary to build the regulator with a quality needle valve and bubble counter.
