New vortech noise

Are they suppossed to be that loud when new? I bought 2 and the other one is almost dead silent.

it makes this same noise when i have the dry side sitting on the ground.

Which vortech is this?

mine was doing that for a bit and I just moved the fan and rotated it until it stopped. Sometimes you have to very slightly off center it a bit.

did you clean the glass before you put it on?

its an mp40. it makes the noise when the dry side is not connected to wetside still

I don’t think Vortechs are supposed to be run while the wetsides are separated from the dry sides. You could be doing unnecessary damage to the drysides by keeping them running while separated. Whenever I remove the wetside for cleaning, I turn the pumps off. Does that noise go away when you reattach the wetside?

if you are running the pump by itself without the wetside it shouldnt make any noise. If it's making that noice from the video with the wetside off, contact ecm and go through the warranty process.
