Agreed the white washes out the colors on the pics there is no contrast to set them apart like before... Maybe add a black box like a 1" border around the pictures to help with this????

I agree with cmcneil, just because everyone else has white why does that mean you should? You should want to make your site different, not the same as everyone else's...

Looks good but like others have said I'm not feeling the white at all. Just because "big shopping sites" are usually white, doesn't mean you guys need to be lemmings and jump off the cliff with them...Black was much better.

Looks kinda like the $10 "chop-shop" with the white. Separate yourselves from the norm and bring back that appealing black. Nonetheless, I'll still support you guys.

Man rough crowd here...i though it was pretty good. I know the black background was nice but i think it is clean and easy to navigate through. Cant speak for phone users but on my PC pictures are good. Good luck with whatever route you guys go!

Nice site! I don't mind the white at all. It makes the site look very clean. The "template" look is hard to avoid as there are so many sites out there and not enough original designers. It is sometimes easier to go with what works than try invent a new type of wheel. I like the quality of the pictures and they don't look like you have over-photoshopped them at all like some other sites. FYI my windows mobile phone displays the pictures perfectly fine... I don't know what device they are using but they look fine to me. Also I have never seen a branching black sun coral before... that looks cool but would be cooler if you had a pic with the polyps out...

I am not the largest fan of the automatic magnification tool that is built into the picture display. It has become fairly standard with websites lately but it is kinda annoying. Personal preference though on that one.

Another personal preference would be to add a Steal Me section where you can put corals at heavily discounted prices. It could drum up the daily traffic to the site if you had the item rotating through different stuff. Could be limited availability but I can say the prospect of a super good deal got me surfing daily deal sites...

Either way the site goes, white or black, I am sure you won't lose any supporters. I for one am enjoying the chalices I got from you guys and look to get something else down the road (probably during next live sale).

My vote is still for black background if you were thinking of changing anything at this point. If you stick with white I am sure I will get use to it, but will take some time...

I saw the new site this weekend. At first site I thought my iphone was messed up. I like the descriptions along with the information on the coral. But that is not really needed, since that info is some what generic in context and is repeated in the details tab. The pictures were bigger, or maybe just seemed that way. All the white area is distracting between the coral. The old format was like being in the store and seeing the corals you like next to each other for comparing. The ratio of picture to white area is too large. I quess what I am saying is I like the old school it looked less like a Big Box Shop.

+1 to black background for sure. Easy on the eyes, and imo made the corals look better... Most people wouldnt put a bright white background on their aquarium. Dark blue, or black. Makes it easier to focus on the colors of the corals. Gives the impression its in the ocean. It's the same for the websites. When people look at corals to buy they want it to look like its in an aquarium (or the ocean). With a black background you give the impression that all the pictures are side-by-side and we are looking into your aquarium as if we were there. We want to hide the fact that we are looking at corals for sale on a website. We want to buy corals from the ocean or another aquarium.
I think you get the idea, its kinda hard to describe. ;)

I like knowing when you guys get awsome new corals I dont have, so I can bust out my credit card. ;)

I think the site is good. The one thing that I dont like is how you cant right click something and open it in a new window/tab. I like to search it by just opening the pages im interested in when Im done going through the site.
