So I was browsing Lveaquaria Divers Den as a lot of us do and I saw a white cap goby and shrimp pair for sale. It has always been a dream fish of mine and I love how cryptic they can be. It is a bit small and I don't wanna lose it in my current tank so it will be going into a modified fishbowl sitting inside of the tank! Wish me luck will post pics when I get them in. I am also aware the shrimp I got is missing a claw but hopefully it will grow back. Staying positive : D.

3 things;
1. $500?! Sheeeesh
2. I had no idea White Cap Gobies could pair with shrimp, that's a new thing I learned
3. Goodluck! Hopefully even in the fish bowl he doesn't go missing like Flaming Prawn Gobies, even in the smallest of tanks those guys just turn into air and dissappear

1.HAHA I KNOW SO MUCH MONEY but this has been one fish for a while I've always wanted and I thought why not a little graduation gift to myself and this has been the first opportunity I've had of even attempting to buy it.
2. Yea it seems so weird since the goby itself is tiny but this specific shrimp species gets pretty big. When I do see them in pairs it is usually with the specific shrimp shown above
3. If he disappears in the bowl for more than 3 days, Ill cry assuming the worst ;-;

Something came today I’m excited

Also the shrimp literally looks like a freshwater ghost shrimp HAHA. If someone gave it to me I could not tell the difference,

Just finished temp acclimation now starting drip acclimation :) also yeah I got a filefish. DONT worry I’ve worked with many of them before I know what I’m getting into.

Heads up the fish water may contain copper (rip shrimp)
The funny thing is the second I posted the picture I realized I may have done an oopsy so I pulled him out and just threw him in the tank, so far he just burrowing under a rock he seems all good for now... fingers crossed....

Hey guys here’s an update on the two. I know the video isn’t the best quality but they are doing great! Gosh they are so tiny and they are in their own little nano setup now.
