A little nugget for those with some New Year resolutions...be specific...don't just say "...I'm going to get in shape" or "I'll eat better" or "I'll be more grateful". or "I'll do more water changes"..Instead, use something like "I'm going to run X min/mi/km a week" or "I'm going to stop drinking soda" or " I'm going to keep a journal and list what I'm grateful for each day" or "'I'm going to change X gallons of water each week/month"...
If you're more specific, you're more likely to start and have a better foundation to formulate your plan of action and see it through.
This Year, I told myself I would read at least one chapter everyday of a new book. I didn't go for broke and say I'd read an entire book a day or 10 books a week....I know that's not realistic for me...would be a failure from the start....so I'm keeping it SPECIFIC...1 chapter a day. How do you eat an elephant?? One bite at a time!
For the first book of the year... An Astronaut's Guide to Life on Earth by Col Chris Hadfield.
