Just thought I'd share, I haven't done this before but I guess that's sort of a part of the whole thing I'm trying to do.

Recently my partner left, and for the most part I realized the last years of my life I had become stale. All I did was work, focus on providing and had a lot of effort into building a house. I basically didn't do anything fun for myself then I stumbled upon an article about trying something new every week or month or whenever. And I decided this would be a great place to start to get back into living life.

I have been considering starting a podcast or something lately as a means of something different to do and with this idea I decided I'd try a YouTube series documenting each weeks activity.

There isn't any content yet, but we're starting filming the first week this week. So if your bored or want to check it out the links are below.

I had to laugh, I'm just about 180 degrees out from you. My parents were like you back in the 50's and 60's when I was growing up. And I decided I wasn't going to live my life that way. So I've been a guy who would try almost anything if somebody else was already enthusiastic about it. To the point that the receptionist at the office I worked at asked me one day about the fact that I had started racing sports cars. She asked, "You snow ski, you fly planes, you grow houseplants, you play tennis, you do ham radio, you crew on a racing sailboat... just how many hobbies do you have?" I had to think for a bit and said,"I don't know for sure, how many are there?"

Now I'm 69 and my wife just retired so we are doing even more new and different things all the time. She just took up painting as a serious hobby and I've been trying to improve at driving autocross for the last year. We leave in 2 weeks to see the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, NM and in March we go to Churchill, Manitoba, Canada (average March high temp is -5F) to see the Aurora Borealis.

Good luck with the new project.

Haha wanna swap lives? You'll get 30 years back! Thanks though, I'm actually really excited to get stuck into some new things. Even if the series gets no views ever I'll enjoy it and that's what it's about for me. You don't have any drone flying experience do you? I'm about to go buy one to help get some good shots filming. And gotta learn how to use it!

Good luck with it all Luno.

Thanks a lot legend

To get 30 years back, where do I sign up!!!

I've never flown a drone, but I have watched a lot of RC air plane flying and a few drones come out and fly at the RC park near here. I've seriously considered an RC plane some years ago but didn't have the time. I've considered a drone as well, but the prices are falling so fast, and better drones keep coming out, so I've decided to wait until I have a real need. They won't let us fly a drone over the cars at the local autocross, even though... and maybe because, it's at an active airport. We use one runway and planes still use the other runway.

I did lean to fly a Cessna 150 Aerobat and got my pilot's license. I fly for 4 years and gave it up to race sports cars wheel to wheel in the SCCA on big road courses like Mid-Ohio, Road America, Watkins Glen, Sebring as well as many smaller tracks around the Midwest. My flight instructor and I flew from Detroit to the old Meigs Field in Chicago and on to Oshkosh for the EAA Fly-in (Experimental Aircraft Association). Then we flew home from Oshkosh to Mackinac Island to Detroit. Quite a vacation.

By the sounds of it, if I can end up having half the experiences you've had I'll have a pretty fulfilled life!!

Just picked up this thing with the extras pack
- controller
- extra battery
- propeller guards
- spare propellers
- charging hub (charge both batteries at once)
- storage box
- shoulder bag

Not bad for the extras considering it was $650 for the drone itself, extras pack is $850 for drone and extras. With both batteries I could get upto 30 minutes of flight time

Looks like a fun project........The Smash Pit???? I have never heard of such as thing lol.....first thing I though of was the printer being destroyed in Office Space :)
