Hello.i am new to this group and was suggesting to come here since I am having some light troubles. I have 75 gallon tank that I have I switch over from a 65 corner tank. My problem is my light I have now is not good enough so I am looking into a viparspectra but my tank has bar right in the middle so am I needing two lights or one longer light and then what wattage would be the best thanks to anyone that helps. My thoughts was either one of these but again one or two is needed..

Welcome to Reef2Reef!!! IMO I think that (2) 165w would be sufficient. Good luck!

Welcome to R2R!!! I agree, 2x 165w fixture will be fine. The center brace does cause a shadow, so having 2 will help with that. With 165w you have no problem with output.

What setting should I run them on. I am reading like 100 blue like 10 white and maybe even cover some lenes. But the covering of the lenes confuses me a tad. Do I cover so many blue/ white or other colors

Welcome. You'll find experienced reefers here willing to help. With respect to your question, I think the answer is somewhat dependent upon the tank dimensions and what you are trying to raise (LPS, SPS, softies, FOWLR, etc.). Perhaps if you create a build thread that would help. Or, just give more details about your situation. In any event, great to have you join us.

I looked at the light, it uses 2 channels to control the light. One being the blue channel, and the other white. You will have to play with the channels and intensity. White puts out more par than blue, thus having fewer led diodes on the white channel. I always recommending using a par meter to set up lights it possible, as the human eye has been shown to me a poor instrument to judging light intensity. You have no need to cover any led diodes, just adjust the intensity of each channel.
