Hi thanks for the warm welcome 
my name is farmer james I am looking to set up a new 30 gal tank with a sump. Iv ran salt tanks with fish and anemones in the past but only with canister filters. my questions are ,how should I set up my media and what media? in what chambers? ,in time once cycled im looking to do a few fish a critter or 2 like star fish or something, maybe a coral or something small the fish wont tear up,for now its just gonna be live rocks and sand. how dose this protein skimmer looking chamber work ? Do i need to run a air line to it ?or just leave it up and out hanging free for what ever its purpose is? This is a rio 2500 return, I will be adding in line uv as well .thanks in advance
