Hi! We (Amy & Bill) are located in the Portland, OR area. So excited to have found this community. We've already learned so much scanning through the threads. So appreciate everyone's openness with their victories and failures so we can all learn. Some things I wished we had known before purchasing our first Red Sea 700 Peninsula, but alas fingers crossed we are full steam ahead. Hoping they (Red Sea) have learned from their past transgressions and some of their weaknesses seem to have been improved and reworked. From all our research thus far, we are learning that patience, moving slowly and methodically is key. We are coming from experience with freshwater aquariums and on our second quite large koi pond. Hoping to bring the lessons learned from the past with fish, diseases, water quality, (nasty hungry water birds which we won't have to tangle with for this thankfully), etc. to help with our venture into saltwater. We are just at the very start waiting for the aquarium arrive hopefully this week as I am staring at a pile of large rubble trying to navigate an aquascape in anticipation. Greatly appreciate any and all input and advice. :)

Well, welcome to the madness! Take things slowly and deliberately researching BEFORE you do things and you should be good. There is one thing however....WE LIKE PROGRESS PICS!!!
