Well we've finally started packing to move, which means I couldn't put off drilling my tank any longer (I want it to go straight into the house). It was definitely way easier than I anticipated! The overflow is now drilled and installed. Unfortunately I have a cheap drill, so I wasn't able to drill the two holes for return lines today. That's tomorrow's project. Getting closer and closer to getting it up and running!

Well I've finally moved and gotten my display tank more or less where it's going to be. Next step is to cut a hole in the wall behind it to feed the plumbing to the sump. I close on my old house at the beginning of August, which will give me the money I need to buy everything else to set it up, and it'll all move quick after that! Starting to get really excited.

Took advantage of the Petco sale on tanks to pick up the rest of what I need for my quarantine room.

New to this thread and very excited for you! Cant wait to see the plumbing get started. I'm planning a. 180g mixed reef with a 75 gallon sump underneath so I'll definitely be stealing some of your ideas!

So I've clearly been neglecting updates, but I have been making progress on my build, and it's finally up and running! I can probably find progress photos if people want them, but here is where I'm at now.

I spent a lot of time making my rock work in the BRS HNSA style, as I really like the look of all the caves and overhangs. I got the tank fully plumbed, and finally leak free (after I think 5 or 6 times of tweaking it). Added water over the weekend to leak test and finally added salt today.

Need to go to the store tomorrow and get a hit more salt, then I can get to some of the less important stuff for the cycle: mounting the lights, setting up the ATO, adding the sand and getting my skimmer set up. This has been a long time coming and it's such a relief to finally have it running!
