Hello all. We had purchased a Red Sea nano max g2 xl with the nano mat accessory. What is the tank under where the ato sits? I can’t get that to fill with a lot of water. It’s not really that close to the ato float ball. Also I have the carbon baggie in and have read that most ppl take it when using the nano mat. Should I keep carbon in? Also the nano mat hasn’t moved in a few hours and I have read that a lot of ppl haven same issue. How to long should I wait before I worry. Btw it is a new tank setup.

I always had my carbon where the heater goes in that tank, but then again, I didn't have the G2 version of it.

Where the ATO is sitting is called the overflow area, which is where your water circulates from the DT (display tank) to the back of your tank.

I never could get the ATO to work with the Red Sea tank; I had more issues with it than having it not installed. I just took the thing out and replaced it with a TUNZE osmolator instead. Worked much better

I plan on getting the automatic topoff system but for now I am curious is that compartment supposed to be filled any higher with water ? It’s circulating properly but the water is barely above the sponge. You mention the heater ? Is it supposed to go in the back internals or directly in the tank itself. That’s where I have it now but it would be nice to have it hidden. Thanks.
