Welcome to Reef2Reef! Show us some pics of the 240!! You should also start a build thread so everyone can see what you have!
I will start on that in the morning!! I have to make sure I name everything correctly. lol It is almost like learning a new language. Thanks for the warm welcome!!

Hey Guys,

I am new to Reef2Reef. I have been bitten by the reef bug!! I have been officially diagnosed with coralitis. LOL. My dad had fish tanks both fresh and salt growing up. It was a very different hobby 35 years ago. So much has changed. I have a 5 month old 240 gallon mixed reef. I am learning all the names of equipment and corals and fish so please bare with me if I botch any of the three. I have been quietly reading every post I can to learn as much as I can. This site is priceless!!

Thank you all for posting your experiences with the hobby and thank you Reef2Reef for nudging me to post.

Welcome! Glad you joined. Agree with you that this is an awesome site! We were all new once though, so no worries!

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

This is a good reference book type online article I still review:
