Hey guys, I am so thankful for this awesome group! I have learned so much in the short time of being here.

Back in early November I bought my first reef tank second hand. It is an Innovative Marine 30L AIO. I really think this was a great place to start. Hopefully you guys wouldn't mind helping with the progression of this system and hopefully it will be a work of art a year from now!

This is from the day I brought it home.

It has went through a few changes since then. Starting with changing lighting from an older style Current USA system to Reefbreaders 24 V2+. "UPGRADE" Christmas present from my awesome wife!

Then I added some new residents

Going through a little bit of an ugly phase with green hair algae but it seems to be getting better. Anyways, I hope to share this journey with y'all. Be blessed!

Love the Nuvo 30L. I have one myself and really enjoy it. What do you have in the back chambers?
I have a aqua gadget reactor running bio pellets, ghost skimmer, dual return pumps for redundancy, auto top off unit.Media chamber has course sponge on top and bottom with fine floss pad on top, bag of bio media. Bag of Chemi-Pur in the right side secondary chamber with my heater. I am considering removing the reactor and installing a drop in UV filter.

It must be nice starting with purple rocks! Looking good.
Mine is unique I think. I have coraline growing just about everywhere. It's a mixture of different rocks that came with it, couldn't tell you what they are. I have added a few pieces if Life Rock. Probably want be able to tell the difference 6 months from now.

Here's a quick update guys and galls. The tank is looking much better these days. Algea seems to under control now and the residents look happy. My zoanthids are my stubborn toddlers throwing a temper tantrum. The are opening more than they ever have but still not fully open.

I hung the lights last night and raised them from 10" to 15". It looks more even spread for sure. I will rent a par meter soon to verify.

Again, I am so thankful to this awesome group of folks for all the coaching and support!
