Soliciting advice on my next fish. Current 55 gal 8 months has handful of small softies and LPS, two BTA, one coral banded shrimp with attitude, CUC, and:
- two ocellaris
- one BT tang
- one coris wrasse

I seek error-tolerant, utilitarian, diverse, peaceful-ish fish. After research, would like to add two:
+ long nose hawkfish (or flame)
+ starry or lawnmower blenny

Thoughts? I have read longnose could try eat small shrimp and fish…

FYI next (and final) adds may be dartfish/fire goby, royal gramma, and/or 2-4 chromis.

I like the Hawkfish idea. Royal Gramma also not bad.
While the Hawk CAN potentially eat small inverts, if kept fat and happy, the likelihood is lessened. Royal grammas can be territorial, but usually towards similar fish.
The issue with something like Chromas is that you start with 4 or more and end up with one. Especially in a tank the size of yours. Same with fish like Bangaii Cardinals.
They seem peaceful, but in reality they are just the quiet kid in the corner plotting murders of their "friends"
