If you are running a MR1 what are you using for the replacement sponges?.. Everywhere i find the actual discs made for Next Reef MR1 shows them as unavailable. Mine have seen better days and i need to find something new.

Would it be possible to DIY some?

Your dead on, just measured my MR1. 550 it is, thanks for the reassurance on my 3.99 LOL

The link I provided keeps showing the 150 filters. Big Al's does carry the 550 ones.

Your welcome.

What about the coarse filters from Eheim, those probably would have to be cut down , but a nice dimension. I will give it a try and report back if they work out.

having issues as well finding any replacement MR1 reactor sponges. saw reefwarehouse.com has them, but their website is super shady and reviews online are anything but reassuring. anytime I try diy'ing one its either too large or too small, cant cut the sponge material evenly...spazzzzz
