Here's a video of my Mertens. It has doubled in size since I got it from Reefsponge. Hard to capture the colors but it really glows under blues.

added an extension to my LifeReef skimmer in preparation for the 700G addition

And moved my dosing gear to a nice shelf my hubby made out of starboard. It's waterproof!

New sump for the combined systems. Very TANKful for my brother in law the pipefitter for helping us into the night to get the new sump installed and water flowing again.

Well Im glad i had had our local clubs house meeting two weeks ago. Today my Ritteri nem decided to go swimming into a powerhead after being settled in the same spot for at least a year. Came home and almost all my fish are dead in the combined system. Only thing alive three clowns, one yellow wrasse, golden butterfly, bamboo shark. So far invert and corals seem totally unaffected. Added a ton of carbon and changed 250G of water. Will do another 250G tomorrow.

Thanks guys too bad I'm in the midst of a colossal disease outbreak. I so depressed to go this far down after how nice the tank was looking prior to the nem event.

Slowly rebuilding. I've been adding only one or two fish at a time and they go through acclimatization/observation for a month before going in the DT. No losses since starting this process. Doubled my UV capacity.

750G in the basement. Excuse the GHA, its hard to keep a clean up crew with this bunch.

I have also started using the smarterreefs system to feed during the day.

I love the simplicity and the way i can modify it to feed frozen, pellets, phyto, etc. I think my fish are happier getting fed throughout the day. I have it set up in my sump and the food comes back upstairs through the return. This spreads it out nicely so all fish get some. In the basement tank it just mounts to the eurobracing and the bullies defend it throughout the day.
