Not sure why I never saw anyone talk about it. For the amount of times I test alk amongst my tanks, I don't care about the dkh to a tenth.
I stumbled upon this on the ole Amazon one day. Love it.
Instructions:
Fill container with 5ml of tank water
Each drop of the reagent equates to +1 dkh
That's it. And you can see when it's about to turn color, so you know it was a dkh of 8-9, or 9-10, even closer to 9, or closer to 10. That kind of thing.
The test takes about 20 seconds.. And I've verified it against Red Sea's, Salifert, and Hanna's.
