Niger Triggers are jumpers?

So, two Niger Triggers on two different occasions have been found on the floor next to my tank. Is this common? It is for me.
 
Not common with a mesh top/lid of some sort on your tank. :oops:
 
Ive got a canopy top on mine where my niger is. No problems. Havent seen him swim much up top either. Do u feed flakes? If so that could be one issue also of course put a top or cover as well
 
Any fish can jump. I had a blenny jump. Luckily he landed in the sump.
 
Mine never jumped. But, It sure did like to dig and rearrange all the aquascaping

Oh it also liked to have it's belly rubbed.
