Hey everyone. I have been struggling with Nitrate and phosphate in my tank since it was set up. I have constantly had 0 readings on both tests. I use Salifert Nitrate test and Hanna ULR Phos. My sps have browned out and lost a ton of color. I need to get color back!

I have taken GFO off line months ago. I reduced Skimming to only 10 hours at night. I reduced the Fuge light to 8 hours a day. I have slowly increased feeding twofold over the last month in an attempt to increase nutrients. Yet I still have 0 readings on both tests.

The system is a 175 cube and a 75 gallon basement sump. Skimmer is a reef octopus sss-3000. Fuge is 25 gallons with a mars Hydra LED light with chaeto. I do 5 gallon water changes every few days. The live stock in the tank is not a lot but Im slowly getting more fish through QT so hopefully I will have a bigger bio load soon. I have a 400w halide with led supplements and a ton of flow.

Should I dose nitrates? Add even more food? Wait for more fish to go through QT?

I only change water to use it in the qt tank. It's better the running a heater in the nsw tank.
