I’ve had my tank running for about a year. About six months ago I lost all my fish due to a power outage and I recently added two Clownfish about a month ago. I’ve had this clearish brown, short hair algae growing on my rock. I can’t seem to get it to go away with water changes. I’ve been testing my water and I’ve had phosphate at 0.1 and nitrate at 0. I’ve tried feeding my fish more to increase the nitrate, but that has not helped. What is the best thing to do to get this algae to go away?

I feel like this pic looks familiar...did you open another thread on this or post about it before?

Manual removal will be the best solution....it will seem like "too much" to do since the algae appears to be covering everything, but take it on in small bits and it will be doable.

"How do you eat a whale? One bite at a time." ;)

Work in 2x2" areas and get the area completely clean. Pluck with your fingertips as much as possible (100% iideally) and place one of your cleanup crew on the cleaned spot when you're done.

Wht is currently in your cleanup crew?
