Nitrate problem

Hello everyone,

I have been keeping a 50 gallon tank for a year and decided to expand the tank, i have set up a bigger tank 2 months ago and recently closed the 50g and got everything to the 180g new tank.

My nitrate levels are always at 50 ppm did water changes, and put some chateo in the sump.

All the corals are doing great no sign of anything bad.

My fish stock is;

13 green chromis
1 royal gramma
2 clowns
1 midas blenny
1 blue tang
1 yellow tang
2 sand gobby
2 shrimps

10 turbo snails
10 conch
1 dolabella
1 hermit crab

Should i do anything to decrease nitrates at this stage or just do regular water changes and see how it goes through?

What test kit are you using, and have you done a nitrite test?

50 nitrates and panicking im at 150 50 is fine

Are you worried just because of a number some test kit gives you, or are your inhabitants suffering?

If the latter, then stop looking at it. LOL

seriously, I've seen tanks look great at every level of nitrate.
