I can’t get my nitrates over 0.30. That is too low, correct? I have been dosing nitro. Is it possible I don’t have enough rock and that’s why my nitrates are low?

I dont see how more rock would increase Nitrates.

What are tank contents, filtration and parameters? Its possible you have more corals and algaes then fish load using up available ammonia before its converted to nitrate and the nitrate you are dosing is also being consumed. Dose more nitrate or ammonia.

What’s your livestock looking like, and what equipment are you using, size tank, food? Do you have an algae problem? A lot can contribute to very low nitrates. Neo Nitro is a great way to raise it though. Also what are you using to test it

When I had low nutrient issues it was because I had either gha or cyano. I couldn’t get nitrates up until I solved those. One issue that fed my algae was my light period was on for about 13 hours a day. I cut it down and took care of algae and was than able to raise nutrients.

Need more information about your tank to determine why you can't raise your nitrates
