It's the opposite. With rising nitrate, alkalinity is bound up. Once the nitrate is remove via denitrification/organism uptake, the alkalinity will be released. yes mainly torches i tried to keep “easy sps” but they don’t make it past 2 weeksFrom looking at the tank, it appears to be new and also LPS dominant. LPS use far less calcium/alkalinity as they are very slow growers. Many LPS tanks are fine with just water changes.
