No Bubbles :(

I have a Coralife super 65 skimmer, I screwed up and placed the entire skimmer in the tank, yes I know shouldn't have done that. I fixed it set it all up again and now I am not getting any bubbles at all in the lower part like did before . How can I fix it? I tried the asking the company but they are useless.

Hope someone can help.

I had this problem before. For a while I had to blow into the air intake hose to get the bubbles started. I eventually raised the skimmer up about an inch and haven't had that problem since.

I also had to raise mine up. My pump is only about 3 inches below the water line

Couple more things to add if adjusting the water depth doesn't work (I'd definitely try that first.)

Make sure the air silencer (the top part where the air tube connects to) doesn't have water in it. Then check the venturi on the pump, specifically the part where the air tube attaches to the pump.

I have a different skimmer, but same design and I periodically have to clean out that venturi on the pump as it builds up with calcium precipitate and blocks the hole. If that's the case, it'll be really hard, so I take a small drill bit and by hand work it thru to knock out the calcium build-up.

Thank you! I did try blowing into abd it would be ok for a few seconds . I will keep trying everyone's suggestions.

I know you can raise the skimmer, but how o u keep it at that position? Mine keeps sliding down.

Many people use a piece of egg crate and a few short pieces of PVC to make the skimmer stand.

Agree submerged you can get salt build up as well blocking the air line.
