Malus are clownfish hosting anemones though, I know at least Amphiprion Polymnus sometimes live in the malus.
An online search said malus will host:
Sebae Clowns, Tomato Clownfish, Maroon Clownfish, Percula Clownfish, Ocellaris Clownfish & more :) !

Understood. But like I said -- it doesn't look like a clownfish hosting species. I don't think it's a malu.

Stichodactyla helianthus or also known as sun anemone

Hmm it seems a bit colourful for that but interesting. The tentacles are rather far apart from eachother on this anemone, is it normal for sun anemones to do that?

Whether this is H. malu or S. helianthus or even another species possibly, it doesn't look very well. Tentacles are sparse and mouth is gaping. Perhaps that's why it's harder to tell which species this is.

I have seen sun anemones of different colorations but the three features need to be seen clearly are the foot, the mouth, and the tentacles. The reasoning why I believe it is an atlantic carpet is because the tentacles seem to me short and thick.

To add on to that, colors mean very little if anything when classifying a coral species, so I think it could be either of the two above. Although I can't say 100%

Better pic of the two I have

The one I had did host a clown while I had it. The mouth was gaping sometimes looking like that and other days looked perfect. I had it in with black widows and rainbows and I think that may have attributed to its demise. I'll have to do some searching. I'm sure I posted it somewhere.

Other thing I recall about it... Was nice and sticky however refused any good I tried. I tried roids, rods, frenzy, mysis, live black worms, silver sides, everything. It would stick but would just slide it off everytime no matter what.
