No filter photo- adobe Lightroom adjusted

So the first photo is no filter. Shot in RAW IPhone 12MaxPro. No filter. The next picture is the photo adjust in light room. I think this photo captures many of the colors in my Cotton Candy Goni that I normally cannot BUT the gonis to the right an behind it are lacking

So same deal as before EXCEPT I used a brown filter. In this photo the colors of the gonis around the cotton candy are way better. And the Cotton Candy is as close to what I see as I have ever gotten out of a photo. Even the original RAW photo is better.

The Kiss Up Goni behind the Cotton Candy is truly that dark Maroon color. Front left is UC Blue Macaw Glitter Goni and to the Right is a POTO Goni I can’t remember the name of right now lol

So brown alone with just regular settings doesn’t give the best photo (at least on my iPhone)

The first series of photos is taken with the normal settings of my iPhone. I did not edit the photos. Filters used in this order: Brown, Brown and Yellow, Orange and Yellow, Brown and Orange, None.

The brown and yellow come the closest to true color of the Goni in the photo.

So the series below follows the same pattern of filters but I used RAW format on my iPhone. These photos are unedited.
Again brown and yellow offer the closest to what I see. Using a photo editing app and adjust the white balance will get as close to perfect as possible.

Orange filter alone tends to make corals “pop” - kinda like when wearing the orange glasses. It’s still great for getting clear photos of your corals. Stacking the O/Y filter helps tone down the pop.

I picked up the brown filter from eBay. it’s made by Rise(UK).


I’m tempted to put other colored filters on and see what happens. Like will a pink filter bring out the pinks?

The raw photos are the first photos. You can’t actually upload those as they are .dng format.
