Hi all
Bit of history of my tank
It is about 3 months old I done the dr tims cycle.
After 4 weeks I had nitrate and nitrite
After they had settled I added 2 black clowns and 4 green cromies.
I have been doing regular water test with steady results.
This week all my test are fine apart from (nitrite No3) there is no trace of this.
The No3 has normally been a little high but now no trace.
My tank is going through the ugly stage at tge moment I have hair algy can this be draining the nitrite
Thanks
PH 8.0
Amonia 0.05
Nitrate No2 0.025
Nitrite No3 0

I would tend to think testing error for nitrite.
Its a very very small amount your looking for.
I’d just move forward.

What test do you have to measure nitrate at 0.025ppm?

I think both tests are not reporting correctly.

Yes, algae can deplete inorganic nitrogen
