Hi Fellow reefers,

Im currently running a 5 x 2 x 2 mixed reef tank (mainly SPS though)

System is using the ultimate aquacare range including dosing nitrate and phosphate removers, so I got rid of the refugium a few months back.
I also have it on a 12 hour water change setup so it automatically changes about 20L of water every 12 hours. This works quite well but I have to monitor salinity levels regularly as it does tend to slowly rise over a few weeks.

Im really considering moving to the no water change system after watching a lot of successful videos and some beautiful SPS systems from doing it this way.
Problem is most of these systems have refugiums and I cant really see anyone doing it using nitrate and phosphate removers so I was wondering if anyone else had given it a go and if they have had any success, I figure if the nitrate or phosphate rise I can always dose a bit more.

Appreciate any feedback, thoughts or experience on this

thanks
