Hi there my 90g tank is running the past 2 months , with the live rock from a previous 14yo tank. i moved the rock but not the sand (the tanks were in the same room so LR is perfect) , the sand is totally new half dead , half live sand.
the problem is that despite the fact that i made some 40% water changes back to back , the NO3 wont drop , around 20ppm
-for fishes is only a YT and a couple of chromies.
-i also have to mention that i use a Calcium reactor , that didnt run for at least 8 years , i just rinse very well the media inside of it , and re use it, i dont believe that is the source of the NO3
-i use a antiphoss reactor
-carbon
-a rolling fleece filter
do i have to add something like MicroBacter7 to help me on that?
