Noisy MP60 - What do you think?

Did you ever try removing the spacer? I forgot the depth of glass that it calls for, but some glass you need that motor spacer and others you don't. Maybe you were creating too much space between the wet side and dry side?

I have 3/4" glass and used the correct spacer, haven't tried removing it though. Just to clarify its the fan that is noisy.

I did try different sized spacers. Didn't alleviate the noise. Almost sounded like a grinding noise. I took some audio using my blackberry. If anybody wants to hear it, I can try and figure out a way to upload it.
