Non reef rescue

Normally when I take in something it's a coral or something along those lines. Not today. So we're driving back from my house in Hilton head to my house in columbus, we are in West Virginia at this point and we see someone drop a basket out of their car. What was in it? A 6 week old chihuahua. We get her back from the vet either tonight, Tomorrow, or maybe even Saturday.

Awesome! Not that it was dumped but that yall rescued it. We do the same when we see things like that. It makes me sick. A few months ago the girlfriend brought home a baby squirrel that had gotten trapped in a store.

We fed it puppy milk until we found a wildlife rescue that could take care of it until it was ready for release.

Not too long ago a huge school of ducklings came running across our porch and one got trapped under the siding of the house. I guess when they bunched up in the corner they pushed one up into the siding and I had to remove a few panels to get it out. I could hear it scratching inside the house, and it kept going further up. It was about 3 ft up into the siding lol.

Well enough of my rambling, +1 for being a good person and taking care of the dog!

Sounds like they didn't like Mexican food! It seems to me like that happens a lot with these ankle biters. It probably wouldn't stop barking or something. If more people knew what google is capable of there would be far less issues with bringing home the wrong anything.

Picking that dog up was a very nice thing. Letting it become a ferrel chihuahua would have led to another chupacabra

Just got news that we are getting her from the vet either tonight or tommorow morning! And they think she may be deaf in her right ear. They estimate her age at 4-8 weeks. She is a purebred and the reason they left her on the freeway was because she was deaf.

It's sad how people treat animals! Glad that someone like yourself saw the people and you were able to rescue the puppy. Hopefully it will be a life long companion for you and your family.

Haha I wish. She's been great for us! We were nervous how the big dogs would treat her but they're the best of friends. She's the only small dog we've had that doesn't always bark. She actually almost never barks.
