So I have never really dosed before, but am considering it.

I was looking at some dosing pumps, like the one below

How exactly do these kind of dosing pumps work? I notice it doesn't have any kind of screen or settings to mess with? Are these just "constant" pumps that will run consistently and you cant control them?

Appreciate any insight.

Use it with a timer to control amount dosed. If you plug it in it will run nonstop. You need a timer or controller to turn it off.

Ahhhh ok, didn't think about that haha. So since it goes 1.1 ml a minute, you just time it out with the timer for how much you want.

I have one hooked up to a regular light timer with the capability to turn on every hour for 15 minutes. I'm using it for dosing kalk.

Yep. I got the digital timers brs recommends with mine. They work great, only down side is they only allow 8 on/off cycles a day. Just make sure it's a digital timer, rotary ones only do every 30 minutes.
