I have my light hung and it's running on a schedule I made for now. Going to tweak it over time. My question is now im reading maybe I should have broke in the light(s). I literally just opened a brand new light and bulbs and hung it over the tank with it coming on tomorrow. Do I need to take it down and run it off the tank first?

Unless you have some really finicky corals, yes it's fine. They just aren't at their normal color & output during the "break-in" period, but it's nothing severe. I know some people do, but I'd wager by and large the vast majority don't do anything special as you'd need another fixture to run the bulbs in for a few days prior to putting them over the tank.
