Hello everyone from the SaladBowl of the world Monterey County.

I am new to saltwater and hope to learn a lot from the community.

I am in the process of gathering the necessary equipment to start a 40g reef. So far I have the tank and a Viparspectra 165w led. Any suggestions are very much appreciated. I look forward to interacting with everyone
Hello and welcome to the hobby! We suggest starting with some beginner coral such as duncans, zoanthas, green star polyps (very sustainable and hearty), and some mushrooms. If you want, take a look at our website for deals on beginner corals. Our website is fragfarmcoral.com, you can email [email protected] for a discount code. We'd love to be a part of your new reef!

Thank you for the welcome and coral suggestions. I will definitely be reaching out to you guys once it’s time to start stocking the tank.
