Not really but 9in. seems to be a nice target as it's going to depend on how much spread you want in that area.

Can adjust the height freely, there is no limit, as long as the two k7v3 140w you buy can cover your tank, it is recommended that the light is evenly distributed. Changing the lamp in the old tank: When adjusting the light, you need to observe the state of your sps. After your coral adapts, increase the brightness by 10% every week.

Does anyone know if 3 of the 140watt k7 Pro 3 would be sufficient for a 6foot 125g tank with mostly sps? My tank is a rimmed tank with 2 cross braces so the easiest configuration for me to do is one light above each 2 foot opening at the top of the tank.
I currently use two 300watt ViparSpectra lights but I am strongly considering switching to these.

Is there space in the hybrid fixture to parallel and perpendicular, or do they only work parallel to the tank in the hybrid fixture?
