Hi all.
I hoping someone on here can help me connect my Noopsyche light that I just received. I have tried both AP and LAN modes but it still won’t connect. My xfinity router has both 2.4 and 5 ghz but the latter has been disabled. It wont connect under AP mode either. I am aware that 2 red flashes is AP and 2 blue flashes is LAN when R button is pressed. I have watched theirs videos but still was not able to make the light work. I was looking to have this install today but now I am stuck. TIA

I dont have any luck with connecting to the wifi
Mine connected to the AP mode without any issues.

Maybe try the factory reset and see.
Also is there any type of security feature on your router that may be blocking the noopsyche network?

Did you get a login screen at all in ap mode?
Or just the " unable" pop- up?
As far as I know 10.0.0 is an invalid ip address.
10.0.0.0 ect

I am gonna check the settings on my xfinity router tonight. I don’t mind using AP to set up the light but none of the two methods work.

I did not get any log in screen. The 10.0.0 IP is from my xfinity router.

Forget their instructions. Use AP mode in the app, 2.4ghz on your router.

Go to phone settings and change phone wifi to Noopscye (K7 pro or whatever). If that is not there, go to next step.

OPen the app, Hit the grey avatar upper right and make sure it is on AP and hit save. May need to hit switch network first (see above), this brings you back to phone settings, pick Noops wifi, go back to app and SAVE. This is the part that is missing in their instruction.

Now you should be able to set the program.

Every time you want to change settings, you have to set phone wifi to Noops, verify AP and SAVE.

Its kinda fiddly but you get used to it. I gave up on wifi mode. From what I read you have to be 20 feet away but I have no idea if this is correct. I could never get it to work.

That seems like the "method" for mesh networks that auto-switch between bandwidths.
Get out of the 5 Ghz range forcing it to 2.4 Ghz.
Seems hit and miss though and I'm not sure stays stable.
Even routers with the ability to shut the 5Ghz sometimes have " issues".

Indeed. I still have a dedicated 2.4 for some older devices for just this reason.

i have mine setup 2.4 and 5ghz but I have them on separate bands and dont let it do the smart connection to try and pick what it wants. I didnt have any issues in AP mode but never would get the wifi to work but not a big deal.

I have xfinity you have to go to your ip address on a computer amd completely seperate the 2 channels have to come up with a new ssid and password for the 2.4 once you do that you can access the wifi connection if your signal bounces between both even once it will disconnect. I have mine seperated and it was the only way to connect via wifi. Again i have xfinity internet

sounds like your router was setup in the smart mode where it will determine itself it should connect between 2.4 and 5ghz.
Glad you got it setup

My light has now refused to connect at all. I am leaving on a 5 days vacation tomorrow and now this happened. These are good lights but wifi/app connection is a pain. Any tips on how to get it online.
Ps. I have separated my 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz signals.
