Nopox as a maintenance add?

Hey y'all!
Just wondering if anyone has used nopox as a maintenance addition say 1/3 dosage to lower nitrates?
I don't have any algae issues but I'm seeing nitrates around the 25 mark when I want to keep around 5ish. So I'm wondering if instead of using a full treatment dose to get down to <1, I can add a portion of a full dose once a week or every other week to achieve a certain reduction.
Thoughts?

It can be done but you MUST test NO3 everyday after starting NOPOX and record down your dosing quantity & NO3 reduction to find out the best dosing regime to maintain whatever NO3 level you want to keep. Write down in a log sheet/book for record along with any changes/effect you are seeing on your tank. No body can tell how much to dose because every tank is different and will depends largely on LR and other things inside your system that can host bacteria. Search around the internet for NOPOX dosing chart to start with.

Do you happen to know when I should expect a dip in nitrates? Obviously it won't work instantly but a week, 2 weeks?

4ml for 100G so I can keep NO3 around 1.

Same answer, it largely depends on your LR because that is where the magic happens. How much denitrifying bacteria you have is largely contributed by how much area you have to host such bacteria. I assume late 1st week or latest by end of second week you should see some reduction.

Nice! That's exactly what I'm looking for! I don't want to eliminate it. I just want to keep it in check because I feed heavy in that tank. Do you see any negative effects?

No problem. Start lowest dose and increase in a day or two until you see some reduction. Don't rush. You don't want to suffocate your inhabitants due to massive bacteria bloom.

Technically it was my fault. It was a newish tank and the biological filter wasn't able to handle all the algae die off =ammonia spike =dead fish and lost some coral.
Although there wasn't a ton of algae. So that's just my best guess (did have an ammonia spike)

Randy prefers vinegar as its compound found most abundant in the sea, and is a lot cheaper than nopox. Reandy's cheap. He makes me laugh when he busts folks out on it.
Also Read up on using Vinegar and Kalk for dosing.

After 10 weeks, no issues to be reported...

I've been using it for about a week now . 10 ml per day in a 90 g .. nitrates gone from 50 ppm too 10 ppm now reduced down too 6 ml per day
